Dear Alexandria Kids,
On behalf of Kids Helping Kids, Inc., we are asking for your participation in the 19th Annual (Virtual) Lemonaide Event, to raise money for children’s charities here in Alexandria. Will you help to raise money for local kids in need?
Kids Helping Kids is an organization started by Alexandria kids in 2002 that sponsors a city-wide event called Lemonaide Day. On that day, kids throughout Alexandria typically set up lemonade stands to raise money to help other Alexandria kids.
This year, we hope you will participate in a virtual lemonaide event. Sign up to be a host and we will provide you a kit with supplies for your virtual stand. You can send postcards to your family and friends asking for their support and then deliver “to go” lemonades to your supporters. Just return all the money you raise by the end of June.
Since 2002, Kids Helping Kids has raised over $220,000 for a variety of children’s charities in Alexandria. The funds that we raise this year will be donated to two Alexandria nonprofits that help kids.
To those who have hosted a lemonaide stand for KHK in the past, THANK YOU! And to those of you who have never hosted before, we welcome you! We hope we can count on all of you to participate this year to help local kids.
